When I first joined, I was just looking for a place to get into a regular exercise routine, as I wasn’t doing much of anything at the time. As time went on, I realized how important the variety of exercises that we do help to keep my body limber and strong as it ages. Now that I’m over 65, that’s even more important to me. While I can’t stop the aging process, I feel equipped to keep it at bay so I can live my life to the fullest.

I appreciate the variety of routines that are designed to address strength in the whole body. All the coaches are supportive and positive and challenge us when we need it. They also are good at adapting things to individuals’ needs, meeting everyone where they are. My favorite part of coming to training every day is seeing the coaches, and also seeing the people that I train with. Everyone is supportive and helpful. I always leave in a much happier mood.

I still remember doing my first push-up. I totally surprised myself and some of the people in my class. After training for several years, I finally did one. While I’m still unable to do them pretty consistently. It’s helpful to know that it’s possible.

It’s worth a try for two weeks. It’s so different from just being a member of some gym where you have to motivate yourself to go. Knowing that the other people that I train with will miss me if I’m not there helps to get me out of bed in the morning. They have become my friends, and I miss them when they’re not there. I also like the fact that the coaches are all very knowledgeable and professional. They know what I need more than I do, and I don’t have to think about what exercises to do. I love looking up at the board to see what’s in store for the day. I can’t say I love every exercise, but I know they’re there for a good reason.

I started out with GetFit NH years ago.  I really enjoyed it but changes in family circumstances made it impossible for me to continue at that time.  Fast forward a few years and I found myself losing weight and increasing energy.  I realized I needed to add exercise back into my routine and only one place came to mind – GetFit NH.  It is the only place I have found that offers the kind of variety, full body strength and cardio training and the right amount of accountability, that I need.

Joining GetFit NH this time, brought with it a different set of goals and determination than ever before.  I have been focused on gaining strength, flexibility, balance and endurance.  I am seeing the results quickly and I could not be happier!  For example, I could barely do step-ups when I first started back in September 2024.  It hurt my knees, I felt wobbly and needed to support myself near a wall and I had to take frequent breaks.  Recently, I did step-ups again with no extra support, no pain and no breaks.  It felt amazing!  I wanted to run around the gym high-fiving everyone!  My goals evolve with each class as I find myself physically able to do more.  Currently, one of my goals is to strengthen my back muscles to one day do a pull-up.  I’m not there yet, but I have faith I will get there!

The coaches at GetFit NH are unbelievable!  I train during the 6:45 class, so the coaches I see most are Sarah and Mike.  They are both the most encouraging, supportive, funny, kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy people I have ever met. In fact, the same can be said for all the coaches and their leader Meagan!

If you’re on the fence, take advantage of the 2 week free trial.  Get a feel for what they have to offer and meet the amazing coaches and teammates.  You will feel right at home!

I’ve been a member of Get Fit NH for almost four months.  My goals were to lose weight and get stronger.  I was deconditioned after resting for an injury from my previous gym and stiff all over.

I’ve lost 15 pounds, inches off my waistline (the bad fat) and feel more energy than I did before.  I can move more easily and regained flexibility in my shoulders and hips.  I most enjoy the coaching because there is always room to get better and the coaches focus on proper form.  They are ready with modifications if you can’t do something or have a limitation.  No matter your condition, you are never left out!

When I began, I could only do a plank from my knees and couldn’t do side planks at all.  Now I can do planks from my feet and side planks. I even surprised myself by being able to do a few “renegade rows” (a plank while lifting one arm at a time!).   If you asked me four months ago about those exercises, I would’ve laughed you off, saying “forget it, impossible for me.”

Get Fit NH encourages you to accomplish the impossible, all while having a good time.
