A Mission Fueled by Compassion

Every now and then, something happens that reminds us just how powerful one small idea can be—especially when it comes from the heart of a child.

Recently, the Get Fit NH community rallied around a mission that was as personal as it was impactful. This time, the spark didn’t come from a committee or a campaign—it came from my 8-year-old daughter, Chloe.
A few weeks ago, Chloe came to me with tears in her eyes and a big idea in her heart. She had learned about homelessness and was deeply moved by the fact that some people don’t have a warm, safe place to sleep at night. With all the innocence, empathy, and boldness only a child can have, she said:
“What if we host an event where people can donate money or gift cards to help the homeless? We could buy them things they need and give them gift cards to grocery stores so they can buy food and water.”
That was it. No hesitation, no overthinking—just pure compassion in action. With your help, her idea became a reality.
Together, our incredible Get Fit NH community raised over $3,000 to directly support our local homeless population. And we’re just getting started. In the coming weeks, we’ll share how every dollar is used—down to the last cent—to make a meaningful, tangible difference for people in need.
As adults, we sometimes grow numb to the struggles around us. We become accustomed to the headlines, the challenges, the noise. But, Chloe reminded us of something important:
Change doesn’t have an age limit.
Her heart, voice, and courage lit a spark, and you helped turn that spark into something bigger than we could have imagined.
To everyone who donated, shared, and showed up, thank you. You didn’t just help us raise money. You helped me raise a strong, compassionate young woman who now knows that her voice matters and that her actions can change lives.
Most importantly, you helped remind everyone we serve that they are seen, loved, and matter.
With deepest gratitude,
Coach Meagan
