S3 V.I.P Transformation Contest is HERE!

S3 2015We know a lot of you have been itching for our annual spring into summer transformation contest. You may be looking for something to get you back on track, something to help you shed some bodyfat or something to get you fitting comfortably and feeling great in your summer attire. Whatever your reason- we have your answer right here! Sizzling Summer Slimdown (S3) V.I.P.

We have done a version of S3 for years. We are always impressed with those who hold on to the end and there is no doubt that those who hold on the whole time get results every time. Here is the thing-  some of us get distracted easily and because of that we are going to shake things up a little this time.

Here is how S3 V.I.P works. We are going to have 5 teams- Team Dean, Team Nancy, Team Erin. Team Meagan and Team Adam. If you sign up fast enough you will get to pick which team you want to be on. This is only guaranteed to the first 10 students for each coach- so don’t delay! Once you select a coach you will need to get your body composition taken. Initial body composition/weigh in, half-way weigh in, and final body composition/weigh in are due by specific dates (specified below). Failure to do so by given dates will result in disqualification from your team! Why are we doing a half-way weigh-in? Great question! To make sure you are on track!

So what is the point of a transformation contest like this? This takes accountability to a whole new level. You are now accountable to yourself, your coach, and your team. You want to lose fat, build muscle, look and feel great but you’re not sure where to start? This is your answer. You will have endless support from your teammates and coach. You will have real life numbers right in front of you motivating you to see results.

What do you get with S3 V.I.P?

  • Focused support and accountability from your team and your coach
  • Your personal coach
  • A team Facebook page to post questions, recipes, progress, struggles, pictures, and more!
  • An S3 V.I.P exclusive cooking class Wednesday May 13th
  • A red carpet (ok green carpet!) celebration at the end of the contest for ALL participants to reveal winning team and individual winners
  • Overall Winning team gets custom team shirts made with their team name and any team quote they choose
  • Individual winners get custom Get Fit NH jacket!

How do we win?

Team with most weight lost

Team with most body composition lost

Team with best training attendance

Team with least amount of disqualified teammates

Team with most MEPS (Concord only- doesn’t count toward overall winner)

Individual winners for most weight lost and most bodyfat lost!

Here’s the deal- we know you want results. As your coaches we are committed to getting you there, but we can’t do that without your dedication so this competition comes at a price and it comes with the rule of following through until the end!

Price: $39 for a 39 day challenge (after you fill out your payment info you will be redirected to a page where you will choose your coach)

The Registration Deadline Has Passed – S3 Starts Monday May 4!

TFW Small Group Has a Spot – Apply Now!

tfwshirtOur large group (Smart Group Training) is as popular as ever, and is arguably the best program of it’s type that can be found anywhere. We continue to work hard to bring you the most effective fat-loss training through this format, and are looking forward to continuing to do so for a long time to come. And while Smart Group helps you lose fat, get lean, and look and feel great, we can only load you up so far.

One of the great benefits of TFW Small Group is the ability to get under the bar and up your horsepower. Some of y’all really enjoyed the barbell courses we offered, and this will allow you to do that more often. Foundational in this training will be the deadlift, squat, and bench press.

Another advantage of Small Group is that it is, well, small! We currently have 5 students in each training time (4:15 & 5:30) We are opening 1 spot for each training time. Keeping it small allows more personal attention from your coach and a laser focused environment.

TFW Small Group meets at Get Fit NH Concord on Monday and Thursdays at 4:15pm and 5:30pm, mirroring the times of our Smart Group Training. For training Tuesdays and Fridays you get to join back in with Smart Group – giving you the best of both worlds!

For current students the investment is only +$60 over your current contract, which is incredible for this specialized training.

There is no doubt that these 2 spots will fill up FAST so if you want in – do not wait to apply! And if you on edge and cannot decide whether this is the right move for you talk to your coach now and let Cara’s Story inspire you to try something new and step out of your comfort zone!

Make it happen,

Coach Meagan

Schedule Change May 21, 2015 – Rock N’ Race Night

rocknrace-300x130.jpgHey guys, just want to give you a heads up that the Get Fit NH Command Center has been in full swing and we have decided to get the full force of the family behind the Rock N’ Race to benefit the Payson Center for Cancer Care.

We are moving Thursday afternoon and evening classes in both locations to Wednesday, May 20th. There will be NO evening classes on Thursday. This affects:

4:00pm and 6:00pm Epsom

4:15, 5:30 and 6:45 Concord (Including TFW)

Wednesday evening will be the same training as Thursday morning, so please don’t come to both. I WILL kick you out! 🙂

We have some very personal reasons why we are taking this step that do not need to blasted all over the internet at this time, but if you have any questions please let me know.

Now that we have removed the potential conflict, will you join us? The Rock N’ Race is a perfect race for beginners and experienced alike. It’s a Run/Walk, there is music, fun and food all along the route – It really is a blast! It takes a lot to get me out on a run, so it’s gotta be good, right?

Don’t Delay. We need your help to have the best “Get Fit NH & Beat Cancer” team ever.

Thanks for your help. Look forward to seeing you there!

Runners, Bikers and Paddlers This Race is for You!

We are very excited to gather a team for a new and exhilarating race. We have decided to replace our annual Reach the Beach relay race for a more diverse race that includes more athletes, not just our runners! So paddlers, mountain bikers, and trail runners pay close attention!

On September 12, 2015 we will gather 9 athletes to travel by foot, bike, and kayak over 60 miles in way northern NH! That’s right from Pittsburg, NH to Colebrook, NH! This race is called North Country Endurance Challenge. This will be first come first serve so please let me know if you are interested and I will get you added to the roster.  nci2

Here is what North Country Endurance has to say about their challenge,  “Multi-sport racing like this is rare in North America; a point-to-point off-road course combining several legs of paddling, biking, and running is hard to weave together given the permitting hurdles and insurance climate unique to the U.S.A. To further complicate things, this is a course through the mountains meaning big ups/downs and remote trails! We’re fortunate to have such great partners to help make this happen. The community in the North Country is showing unprecedented support for this event, so we hope you enjoy the fruits of this relationship and make the most of this special racing opportunity in North Country.”

Here is the breakdown of each relay (also known as legs)- again come talk to me today and I will get your spot secured!

Leg 1:  Lake Paddling Distance: 3.9 milesnci

Leg 2: Trail Running Distance: 3.1 miles Ascent: 78 ft Decent: 266 ft

Leg 3: Lake Paddling Distance 4.7 miles

Leg 4: Mountain Biking Distance 9.3 miles Ascent: 886 ft Decent: 489 ft

Leg 5: Trail Running Distance: 7.1 miles Ascent: 1049 ft Decent: 470 ft

Leg 6: Mountain Biking Distance: 9 miles Ascent: 1355 ft Decent: 1837 ft

Leg 7: Mountain Biking Distance: 3.4 miles Ascent: 1207 ft Decent: 1430 ftnci3

Leg 8: Mountain Biking Distance: 13.5 miles Ascent: 1699 ft Decent: 1509 ft

Leg 9: Mountain Biking Distance: 9.5 miles Ascent: 909 ft Decent: 1142 ft

Be Still My Beating Heart (Well not totally, but that what’s MyZone is for!)

11009953_10153171763248410_8110383096055016943_n

Are you ready for a challenge?

Over the past few weeks you our Concord Crew has done such a great job adopting MYZONE into your training. It has been pretty cool to see what is really going on inside. Most of us have learned something new about our body’s  since implementing MYZONE, I know I have!

Here’s the challenge. We are going to hold a MYZONE Match Training on Saturday April 11th at 9:00am.  During this hour there will be a prescribed zone that we will want you to train in. For many of us we can easily jack our heart rate up into the red zone (90-100% of our maximum heart rate) while others have a challenge getting out of the green zone (70-80% M.H.R). Still others have a challenge getting back into the recovery zones. The purpose of the match training is to learn to control your exertion, control your recovery, and control your breathing. This type of control is and maintaining these zones is not easy and it is the optimal way to train your heart.

If you haven’t picked up your belt yet, you will want to make that happen before this event!  There is limited space available, so you MUST register for this training ahead of time, no exceptions please. Space is limited to 28 students, so please do not sign up if you are not 100% sure you can be there – Thanks!

Make it Happen!

2015 Rock N’ Race – Time To Sign Up!

rocknrace.jpgI had the opportunity to attend the Captain’s Breakfast a few weeks back, and I wish you all could have been there. Shawn Riley, Team Captain of “Steph Strong” told the story of his wife Stephanie, who died shortly after Christmas after a courageous battle with cancer. She participated in the race last year, and this year she is gone. As I sat there through the tears and laughter as he shared the story of the love of his life, with their young daughter watching her brave daddy, I could not help but think “What if that was me?”

We have all been touched by cancer in some way, and Shawn’s powerful story reminded me not only of that fact, but that of the many worthy causes in our community, I firmly believe getting behind the Rock N’ Race and supporting the Payson Center for Cancer Care is right near the top. Once again this year members of the “Get Fit NH & Beat Cancer” team will be wearing special green shirts, in honor of the fact that you went above and beyond and earned “Rock Star” status by raising over $3,000. I want to thank-you for all you do to support the local community.

If you are going to run one 5K this year, make it the Rock N’ Race. It is a walk/run, you can bring the kids, push a stroller, dance in the streets – whatever you want. It really is a fun time to get out for a good cause. Don’t forget that next week (Wednesday March 25th) Runners Alley will be coming in to Get Fit NH Concord to talk all things running, so this is a good time to learn about proper footwear and technique.

Let’s all get out there and help “Get Fit NH Beat Cancer”.

Make It Happen,

Coach Dean
